Description:

A hardy, deciduous shrub to 4-5 m tall. The leaves are opposite, three-lobed, serrated, not unlike mapless, 5-10 cm long. The 1.5 - 2cm white snowball like flowers are produced in late-spring followed by bright red fruit in autumn.

Site and Care:

Does best in full sun or partial shade and fertile humus rich, well drained moderately alkaline soils, though tolerating most soil types well. Pruning is only necessary to maintain shape and should be carried out after flowering. Propagation is by softwood cuttings in summer.
