Description:

A deciduous shrub, up to 4m, with dramatic indented felty leaves that can reach up to a 1 metre across, with small creamy flowers in late summer. It can grow to become a small tree but in this country it is usually cut down by frost.

Site and Care:

Feed and water well through the growing season for colossal growth in full sun on well drained enriched soil. Shelter from winds. It may not be hardy on too wet soils.
