An erect half-hardy herbaceous perennial to 90cm in height, with triangular leaves and large panicles of vivid deep blue, 2-lipped flowers 2cm in length blooming from mid-Summer through late Autumn,

Description:

Humus rich, fertile, light, well-drained soil of any type in full sun or partial shade. Deadhead to encourage more flowers. It is hardy in the south of the UK but it is as well to protect it with a thick mulch over winter. Propagation is by cuttings in late summer or division in spring.This plant is not rleaibly hardy even here in the south and cuttings should be taken as a precaution against loss due to cold weather.
