Description:
A tall, climbing rose up to 15m or more, with hooked thorns and semi-evergreen, pale green leaves. Flowers in June/July are creamy-white or rarely pale pink, well-scented with petals 1.5-3cm long, 1-2.5cm across. Native to Afghanistan and south-western China where it scrambles over shrubs and trees.
Site and Care:
Will do well in most well drained soils in full sun; poorer soils are tolerated. Prune in summer after flowering back to three buds from the main stem. Propagation is by half-ripe side shoot cuttings in summer.
