Description:
Deciduous, weeping, mound-shaped tree with white flowers in mid-spring and narrow grey leaves flowering shrub, 5-8m (15-25ft) high by 4m (12ft) wide, Fruits are small, brownish and pear-shaped. The genus is native to western Asia. The leaves are willow like hence the name salicifolia from salix (willow).
Site and Care:
Does best in full sun and fertile, well drained soil. Pruning should only be carried out immediately after flowering.
