An ornamental plant growing to 1.5m x 1.5m (5' x 5') each season with 150-200cm (5-7') creamy white, profuse fleecy blooms from late July to late September. It has strong roots although it is not invasive, but it does require a large space. Of Asian origins it is probably a recent hybrid.

Site and Care:

Fast growing it is best in moist fertile soil in full sun or partial shade with some protection from high wind and is drought tolerant once established. Cut back to ground each winter when it will benefit from mulching. Propagation is by root cuttings or division in winter.
