Description:
This uncommon if not rare hardy, woody, deciduous shrub with large pale rose to white flowers with a bright red central blotch above light green, heart-shaped foliage, H x W 3m (10ft) from the high hills of eastern China.
Site and Care:
It prefers a rich well drained soil in a sunny, protected spot. The plant can be cut to the ground in spring or should be tip pruned to promote bushiness. Propagate by seed or softwood cuttings in spring.
