Description:

A hardy spreading dwarf deciduous shrub to 2m in width and 0.5m high, with distinctive, flat, regularly-branched sprays of foliage with small glossy leaves that turn orange and red in autumn. Pink-tinged flowers and red berries Native to China.

Site and Care:

Will grow in any type of soil in full sun or partial shade. It is a slow growing, drought resistant shrub that requires only pruning for shape but can be cut hard back if it gets too big. Propagation is by half-ripe side shoot cuttings in summer or seed.
