Description:
A fast-growing medium-sized, hardy, deciduous shrub of rounded habit, with broad oval, light green leaves, and large panicles of scented powder-blue flowers in Summer,1.7m (6ft) high by 1.7m (6ft) wide. Native to California.
Site and Care:
Prefers moist, well-drained alkaline to neutral soil in full sun or partial shade. Plants benefit from a deep mulch of organic matter in prolonged cold spells. Prune for shape in early spring. Propagation is by semi-ripe cuttings.
