Description:

A hardy, deciduous, with conical spikes of denim blue flowers from August supported and softened by dark grey-green foliage but it can be messy and straggly although it is comparitively compact when pruned. One of the earliest cultivars, In autumn it develops winter foliage which is intensely grey on attractive bronze stems.

Site and Care:

Site and Care: A trouble-free, adaptable shrub for sunny, warm positions. It thrives in containers but sulks in shade and prefers well-drained soil. Deadhead to extend the flowering season. Small if pruned properly, but a messy and straggly shrub if not. Propagate by semi-hardwood cuttings in September.
