Description:

A hardy, deciduous, genuinely dwarf, long-flowering shrub, to 1m, with conical spikes of scented purple (not blue) flowers from August, the spikes being in proportion to the size of the plant supported and softened by dark green to grey foliage.  It is unique due to its complex parentage and it does not produce viable seed.

Site and Care:

A trouble-free, adaptable shrub for sunny, warm positions. It thrives in containers but sulks in shade and prefers well-drained soil. Deadhead to extend the flowering season.  Propagate by semi-hardwood cuttings in September.
