Description:
A hardy perennial, to 75cm, with downy, silvery foliage it acts as a foil for other more brilliantly coloured plants Useful for dry situations, it bears large woolly heads of brownish-yellow flowers from mid-summer to autumn.
Site and Care:
Grow in full sun in well-drained/light, chalky/alkaline soils.It may benefit from a mulch of sharp grit or gravel over winter and should be lightly trimmed in spring. Propagate by division in early spring.
