Description:

This Japanese anemone is a vigorous clump forming hardy perennial (120cm x 120cm) that flowers from August to October with pure white flowers and robust foliage of deeply-divided, slightly-bristled, dark-green leaves. that surround small, yellow disk flowers. The papery bracts last indefinitely when dried. Lance-shaped, white, woolly leaves turn green as they age, with white, woolly hairs underneath. Native to North America

Site and Care:

Plant in a fertile, moist, humus-rich soil of any type, in sun or part shade. A generous winter mulch is beneficial. Avoid moving the plant since it resents disturbance but where necessary lift and divide congested colonies in early spring Propagation is by seed, division in the spring, or root cuttings in spring.
