Description:
A small hardy perennial (60cm x 60cm) that flowers from early July to October with white papery bracts that surround small, yellow disk flowers. The papery bracts last indefinitely when dried. Lance-shaped, white, woolly leaves turn green as they age, with white, woolly hairs underneath. Native to North America Site and Care:
Plant in a fertile, moist, well-drained soil of any type, in sun or part shade. A winter mulch is beneficial. Propagation is by seed sown in the spring, division in the spring, or softwood cuttings in late spring or early summer.
