Description:

A vigorous, up to 3m, hardy, deciduous shrub of spreading habit, with leaves composed of up to 30 oval leaflets, and slender racemes to 15cm in length, of deep purple flowers with orange anthers in early summer.

Site and Care:

Grow in full sun or part shade in poor soil of any type. Prune in spring to maintain shape. Propagate by seed in Autumn.
