Description:
A vigorous, deciduous, hardy climber to 5m (16ft)producing clusters of 2 cm white flowers 2cm. In spring it displays ovate-oblong, dark-green leaves to 15cm (6in) lo purple-tinged when young becoming variegated with white and pink in the top half. Native to the uplands of Japan.
Site and Care:
Grow in well-drained soil of any type in sun or partial shade. Male and female plants are required to produce fruit. Prune for shape and control.
