European Mistletoe

Lime Trees in the Orchard, Lime Trees on The Old Drive to the obelisk and an apple tree in the Temple Garden

The only Mistletoe species native in Great Britain and much of Europe it is readily recognized by its smooth-edged oval evergreen leaves borne in pairs along the woody stem, and waxy white berries in dense clusters of 2 to 6. Often difficult to see when the trees are in full foliage it can be readily appreciated during the winter months.
