Description:
A hardy deciduous, medium-sized (2m x 2m), bushy shrub with palmately lobed aromatic leaves and drooping clusters of small, red flowers in spring native to North America it sometimes produces edible black berries.
Site and Care:
Easy to grow in moderately fertile well-drained soil of any type in full sun. Useful for informal hedging. Prune after flowering removing about a third of the old wood. Propagate by hardwood cuttings in winter.
