Description:
A small, clump-forming, but non-invasive, deciduous grass with narrow, arching, lance-shaped leaves striped green and yellow, flushed red in autumn and early winter with insignificant flowers in summer. Native to Japan.
Site and Care:
It requires moist, well-drained, humus-rich soils and partial shade suitable for edging beds or lawns. Easily propagated by division in spring. No disease problems.
