Description:

a compact, hardy, deciduous, low-growing shrub 60cm tall, with narrowly lance-shaped leaves often turning deep purple in autumn, and small white flowers in spring and early summer native to East Asia.

Site and Care:

Does best in full sun and fertile, well drained soil, of any type, although it will tolerate part shade. Pruning should only be carried out after flowering. Older plants may need to be hard pruned every few years in early spring removing the older wood. Propagate by softwood cuttings in early summer.
