A vigorous evergreen climber from China with leathery, glossy trifoliate leaves and fragrant creamy-white flowers 5-6cm across, in clusters in spring
It is the only fragrant clematis with the flowers lasting several weeks and sometimes a second flowering is produced in August.
Site and Care:
Grow in full sun on a south-facing or west-facing wall in fertile, moist but well-drained especially chalky soils. Propagate by layering, semi-hardwood cuttings or hardwood cuttings
